Capital Signal was initially established in Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies, operating out of Chaguaramas as a marine construction and engineering service support provider to the local and regional marine industry since 1992. The company developed a widespread reputation for safety, reliability and efficiency in its operations after just one year. Soon thereafter, Capital Signal emerged as a provider of accurate and cost effective marine surveying and related geoscientific services to accommodate the growing demand for trustworthy survey information for specialised marine projects in the region. Capital Signal's continued success over the next five years led to its expansion from its small base in Chaguaramas to a larger facility in Carenage, and one in Venezuela to provide more timely support and service to the South American market.From 1997 onwards, the continued growth of technical expertise, staff and technology led to its expansion into U.S.A. and then Mexico in 2003. In 2005, an office was also opened in Barbados to service ongoing projects there. Also in 2005, Geotrace Trinidad Ltd. was established - a joint venture between Capital Signal and Geotrace Inc. of Houston, U.S.A.The company currently employs 145 people comprising a healthy mix of locals and foreigners working to provide safe, highly focused and cost effective services to our clientele. At present, the operational structure includes the Marine Construction, Geosciences and Marine Support divisions, all equipped to cater to the unique demands of each business.

HISTORY

1992  Capital Signal established in Chaguaramas, Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies, by two local entrepreneurs providing marine construction and engineering services to the local and regional marine industry.

The company quickly earned industry recognition and a reputation for safety, reliability and efficiency.

1993  Capital Signal begins to provide marine surveying and geoscientific services to meet the growing demand in the region for reliability and enhanced accuracy.

1995  Capital Signal's continued growth in marine construction, surveying and geoscience services requires moving to a larger marine facility in Carenage as well as establishing a shore-base in Venezuela to serve the South American market.

•  Operation expands to include a Houston office in the U.S.

2003  Capital Signal opens office Ciudad del Carmen, Mexico.

2005  Barbados office opens, also Geotrace Trinidad Limited: A joint venture between Capital Signal and Geotrace Inc. of Houston, U.S.A is established in Trinidad to provide seismic processing services regionally.

2007  The company employs 145 people comprising a mix of locals and expatriates providing best-in-class, safe, highly focused and cost effective services to our clientele.
